Below are the final numbers for the district of Croydon, contested by Millie Hammerstein: outstanding results for Millie. The Croydon district stretches north-west from the Parklands around North Adelaide as far as Grand Junction Road to the north.
Millie has a number of ambitions as an animal advocate: to work for the establishment of an Independent Office of Animal Welfare; to introduce a meat tax to help ward off climate change; to introduce a junk food tax, to protect our children from obesity and the animals from a living hell; to install CCTV cameras in all slaughterhouses; and to ban the ‘use’ of all animals in sports and entertainment.
Her view is that the lawful protection of all animals is essential to a just and compassionate society.
