The Animal Justice Party 2017 National Conference is approaching!
Applications are open for proposals for sessions. Proposals for sessions must be received by the 25th August.
Natcon17 will be held in Adelaide on Saturday 23rd of September 2017 at the Waite Campus of the Adelaide University in the Charles Hawker Conference Center.
We invite abstracts for short paper presentations (30 or 45 minutes),
interactive workshops (60 or 90 minutes).
Conference Theme: Growing the Party
Presentations and workshops are invited on the following areas:
- Connecting with the electorate. We need to know what works, and how do we know it works. Social media, stalls, rallies, pub crawls, concerts, dinners. How do we get brand recognition, how do we get workers?
- Administration, systems for managing and building the party. Decentralise, centralise, regional groups, working groups, how to make group decisions, how to make good decisions?
- Policies for a deeper connection with the electorate, broad or narrow? While our focus will be on animals, do we need a full policy suite? Elected politicians are expected to participate and vote in some measure on all issues before the Parliament.
But don’t let that constrain you. If you have a great idea, we’d love to hear it.
Presentations can be 30 or 45 minutes long.
Workshops must involve participants and can be 60 or 90 minutes long.
